Artist Statment
Art has always been how I process the world around me, more than a hobby, it became a way to explore ideas and emotions I couldn’t express otherwise. I grew up sketching on anything I could find and experimenting with materials just to see what I could create. After high school, I joined the Marine Corps, where art had to wait, but the creative drive never left. Upon completing my service in 2022, I enrolled in art school at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, where I focused on character design and concept art for games and film. Nature, especially plants and animals, plays a central role in my work, shaped by Steve Irwin’s passion for wildlife. I use ink, charcoal, and digital tools to create immersive worlds and dynamic compositions. The discipline, teamwork, and resilience I developed in the military now support my goal of joining a studio where I can help bring meaningful stories to life through visual art.
